“Art in the Park’ is a new event at Unkya Reserve, Eungai under the guidance of the new committee and following on from the Unkya Spring Festival. The community group have formed ‘Funkya @ Unkya”, bringing together artists, crafts-people, dabblers and musicians for an exhibition of their wares and talents. Artists are invited to come along with their preferred medium to display and actively interact with others. Children will be catered for with creative activities and starting off there is Dreamworks story telling, followed with an inspired art session. Everyone in the Valley is invited to go along, breakfast of bacon and eggs, toast, pancakes, scones and muffins with coffee, tea and chai, as well as other food and drinks, are available. All proceeds go to the maintenance and upkeep of Unkya Reserve. There will also be two puppet (marionette) shows as well as an acapella group doing some fantastic songs.
